Decision Primer: Five‑Star RB David Gabriel Georges Set to Choose Between Tennessee, Ohio State and Ole Miss
By Aidan Sidoti
CHATTANOOGA – The country’s No. 2 running back is officially coming off the board Wednesday, as five‑star prospect David Gabriel Georges prepares to announce his college commitment. The 6‑foot, 205‑pound standout from Chattanooga, by way of Quebec, Canada, is ranked as the No. 2 running back and a top‑ten overall recruit nationally in the 2027 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.
The Baylor School star has narrowed his decision to three finalists: Tennessee, Ohio State and Ole Miss. Tennessee has long been viewed as the favorite, offering the in‑state phenom nearly two years ago on July 31, 2024. Rivals reporter Pete Nakos recently logged a 70% prediction for the Vols, while Vice President of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong flipped his projection from Ohio State to Tennessee on Tuesday morning ahead of Georges’ announcement.
Gabriel Georges took 7 total visits to Rocky Top during his recruitment, including his official visit the weekend of June 5. He made 4 trips to Columbus to see the Buckeyes, while Ole Miss is not expected to be a factor in Wednesday’s decision.
As the top uncommitted prospect in the country, all eyes will be on Gabriel Georges’ announcement at 5:30 p.m. ET, which will stream live on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel.
