Vols’ Top Hitter: Bring Your Loud Uncle To The Game Tonight
By Cody McClure
Andrew Fischer is begging us all to show up and be loud tonight.
Tennessee needs a raucous environment tonight in its do-or-die home regional game against Wake Forest.
The Vols’ No. 1 hitter spoke about what he and the team are hoping for tonight in Knoxville.
“Season on the line tonight. I’d expect it to almost double in noise,” Fischer said of the crowd at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. “There needs to be a showing and a will and want to from our crowd.”
He’s right. We’ve gotta get Lindsey Nelson back to being the zoo it was in years past. And this is the last opportunity.
Something has been different this season. Maybe the weather just hasn’t cooperated in too many games. Or perhaps the common fan has been priced out at times.
But something has been off. Hopefully that changes this evening and the boys get their wish.
It could make a real impact in helping will them to the Super Regionals in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
“Show up. Period. Whatever it takes,” Fischer added on X. “If you have to tailgate harder or bring an uncle who is super loud, make LNS as loud as humanly possible. End of discussion.”
Round up your drunkest uncles and get them in the car. It’s all on the line tonight.
