KNOXVILLE – Things can only go up, right?

Tennessee baseball (19-10, 3-6 SEC) returns to Lindsey Nelson Stadium tonight for a three‑game series against LSU (20-10, 4-5 SEC) as the Vols look to steady themselves after a brutal weekend in Nashville. Tennessee was walked off in all three games against Vanderbilt, including a 16‑inning marathon on Saturday that ended on a Braden Holcomb RBI bunt single. Sunday’s collapse was even more painful, as the Vols let a 15-10 lead slip away in the bottom of the ninth before Holcomb’s two‑run single and a Tommy Goodin pinch‑hit grand slam sealed a 16-15 Commodore win and the sweep.

The Vols managed to regroup on Tuesday, rolling past Austin Peay 13-4 behind early home runs from Harry Ford and Garrett Wright, hoping to recreate those performances heading into a crucial SEC series.

Josh Elander is shaking up the pitching rotation once again, turning to his third different Friday night starter of the season. Landon Mack gets the ball tonight against the Tigers, followed by Tegan Kuhns on Saturday and Evan Blanco in Sunday’s finale.

First pitch tonight is set for 5:30 p.m. Eastern on SEC Network.
