Tennessee remains firmly in the mix for the nation’s No. 1 point guard.

Five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. announced his top five schools on Monday, listing Tennessee alongside Texas, Duke, Miami, and NC State, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

Rippey is ranked the No. 1 point guard in the 2026 cycle and currently ranks No. 11 nationally.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound stud out of Blair Academy officially visited Tennessee on Oct. 25 for the Volunteers sold-out exhibition against Duke.

His other official visits included Texas on Sept. 19, Duke on Oct. 21, Miami Aug. 27, and NC State on Nov. 7.

Rippey’s blend of vision and speed on the hardwood has made him a priority target for top programs across the country.
