Just as we all expected.
The SEC has finalized the Vols’ three permanent opponents for the next four seasons, with Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky locked in every year through 2029, per On3 Sports’ Chris Low.
The decision ensures the continuation of some of the league’s longest-standing rivalries.
The Third Saturday in October clash with Alabama remains one of the SEC’s most pivotal showdowns, while the in-state rivalry with Vandy and the border battle with Kentucky keeps Tennessee’s long-standing rivalries alive.
The SEC’s move gives Tennessee stability in a 16-team league that has seen plenty of change since the arrival of Texas and Oklahoma.
On Tuesday, the SEC will announce the complete conference schedule for the next four seasons at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
