Tennessee football has established itself as a top contender for one of the top prospects in the state of Florida.
Four-star running back Tranard Roberts out of The Villages Charter High School in The Villages, Florida released his top five schools Thursday morning, with the Vols joining Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, and Auburn, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Roberts is ranked as the No. 208 overall player nationally and the No. 1 running back in Florida for the 2027 cycle.
Roberts transferred to The Villages Charter after spending his sophomore season at IMG Academy, where he rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns.
At 5-foot-11.5 and 195-pounds, Roberts combination of size, burst, and physicality have made him one of the most coveted backs in the 2027 class.
No timeline has been announced for his commitment, but expect Tennessee to stay aggressive at running back in the 2027 class as the Volunteers are near the top for five-star running back David Gabriel Georges.
