KNOXVILLE – After dropping last week’s midweek matchup on the road to No. 17 Duke and getting the weekend off, No. 7 Tennessee softball returns to Sherri Parker Lee Stadium tonight for a single game showdown with Radford. The Lady Vols enter the matchup at 37‑7 overall and 12‑6 in SEC play, while the Highlanders come in at 22‑22 and 9‑6 in the Big South.

Tennessee hasn’t taken the field in nearly a week, with its last outing coming in Durham where the Lady Vols fell 6-3. Tennessee struck out six times and left 11 runners on-base, while star pitcher Karlyn Pickens took the loss after allowing a three-run home run in the first inning.

The break gave Tennessee a chance to reset before the final stretch of the regular season, and tonight offers an opportunity to get some rhythm at the plate and in the circle.

The Lady Vols have dominated the all time series against Radford, holding a perfect 8 to 0 record. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. Eastern on SEC Network+ as the Lady Vols look to get back on track before a weekend series against the Crimson Tide.
