Carey is headed to Columbia.
Former Tennessee forward Jaylen Carey has announced his commitment to Missouri, marking his fourth school in four years after previous stops at Vanderbilt, James Madison, and most recently the Vols.
During his lone season on Rocky Top, Carey appeared in 37 games, made eight starts, and averaged 7.4 points and 6.0 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game. The 6-foot-8, 267 pound forward delivered several standout performances, including a career high 22 points on the road at Syracuse. He later posted an 11 point, 10 rebound double-double in the Sweet Sixteen against Iowa State, helping push Tennessee to its third straight Elite Eight appearance.
Carey now heads to Missouri, where he will remain in the SEC under head coach Dennis Gates as he looks for a much larger role in Columbia.
