East Carolina Transfer Guard Kennedy Fauntleroy Commits to Lady Vols

KNOXVILLE – Kim Caldwell’s transfer portal class has reached an even dozen as East Carolina guard Kennedy Fauntleroy has committed to Tennessee, she announced on social media.
Fauntleroy, an Upper Marlboro (MD) native, is coming off a standout season with the Pirates. She appeared in 32 games, started 31, and averaged 13.7 points and 4.8 assists in 32.3 minutes per game. She also added 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 0.8 blocks per contest while helping lead East Carolina to a 22‑10 record.
She earned major recognition during her lone season in Greenville. Fauntleroy was named American Conference Newcomer of the Year and Co‑Defensive Player of the Year, becoming one of the league’s most complete two-way guards.
Listed at 5-foot-7, Fauntleroy will now join her fifth program in as many years after previous stops at Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown before landing at ECU. She brings experience, defensive toughness, and playmaking to a Tennessee roster undergoing a full overhaul going into Caldwell’s third season in Knoxville.
Fauntleroy becomes the Lady Vols’ 12th portal addition, joining Liberty guard Avery Mills, Northern Arizona guard Naomi White, Stanford forward Harper Peterson, Georgia forward Zhen Craft, Auburn guard Harissoum Coulibaly, Georgia guard Rylie Theuerkauf, Texas A&M forward Fatmata Janneh, Maryland guard Kaylene Smikle, Penn State guard Shaelyn Steele, Seton Hall guard Jada Eads, and Texas guard Aaliyah Moore.
