Tennessee pulled off a major in-state recruiting win on Thursday, flipping four-star offensive tackle Kamari Blair from South Carolina, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, a major and much needed win for offensive line coach Glen Elarbee.
The 6-foot-6, 281-pound highly-touted recruit out of Clarksville, Tennessee originally committed to South Carolina over Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin on July 16.
Head coach Josh Heupel and staff have made in-state recruiting a priority during their time in Knoxville, with Blair now becoming the eighth in-state commitment thus far for the Volunteers in the 2026 cycle.
The Kirkwood High School mauler is ranked as the No. 294 prospect nationally and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Tennessee.
Blair’s commitment vaulted the Vols back into the top ten of 247Sports’ recruiting rankings, leapfrogging Ohio State, Michigan, and LSU to claim the No. 8 spot.
Joining Edward Baker, J.B. Shabazz, and five-star Gabriel Osenda, Blair becomes the fourth offensive line commit for Glen Elarbee, including the third offensive tackle to join the Vols’ 2026 cycle.
