A Former Florida Gator Is Currently Unable To Play In The NFL Because He Is Way Too Fat

First of all, I get it.

I, too, am too fat to play in the NFL.

Former Florida Gator and current (for now) Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Desmond Watson is very fat.

He’s so fat, in fact, that the Bucs are not allowing him to practice until he gets in better shape.

Tampa Bay placed Watson on the NFI (non-football injury) list yesterday due to his weight at the start of training camp.

Watson is the NFL’s heaviest player at a whopping 449 pounds.

When playing for the Gators, Watson tipped the scales at 464 pounds, according to CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani, so he’s made a little progress.

But not really.

As someone who has been over 400 pounds before, losing 15 pounds when you’re over four clucks is just day-to-day stuff.

It’s nothing. Probably just water weight. The guy could be 475 next week. It’s a real struggle at that size.

"It's just about trying to get him better, to be a healthier player and getting him on the field a little more," Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said, via Fox 13. "That's kind of where I'm at right now. He's working at it and we're working with him and that's all you can ask right now."

Will Watson lose the weight or will he ultimately end up as just another guy who ate himself out of the league?

Only time will tell.

What a unit.
