KNOXVILLE – Less than a month after making an unofficial visit to Rocky Top, three-star safety Carter Jamison has committed to Tennessee, 247Sports reports. The class of 2027 defender from Fairburn (GA) chose the Vols over South Florida and Wake Forest, giving cornerbacks coach Derek Jones a versatile piece in the secondary.
Jamison, listed at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, helped lead Creekside High School to a 15-0 record and the Georgia 4A state championship during his junior season in 2025. He finished the year with 63 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 2 fumble recoveries.
Ranked as the No. 1,038 overall prospect in the nation and a top 120 player in Georgia, Jamison becomes the second defensive back in the 2027 cycle to commit to the Vols, joining three-star safety commit Jaden Butler out of Haywood High School in Brownsville.
