Tony Vitello is joining the MLB Network on television this weekend.
It will be the third time in four years that Vitello will be part of the network’s MLB Draft coverage, per a UT release.
He previously assisted with draft coverage in 2022 and 2024.
This year’s draft is taking place on Sunday night from Atlanta.
It could be an eventful one for Vol Baseball — a program that has seen an NCAA-leading 36 players chosen since 2020.
Liam Doyle, Andrew Fischer, and Gavin Kilen are projected to be likely first round picks. Dean Curley will also be a name to watch.
Vitello’s nerves will be high, to be sure, on draft night as some current Tennessee commits could also be selected.
Under Vitello, UT has had 43 players drafted since 2018, averaging just over six picks per year, per the release. Tennessee currently has nine players ranked among the top 250 prospects on MLB.com.
The draft begins at 6 p.m. ET Sunday and will be broadcasted on ESPN, as well, but Vitello’s analysis will be on MLB Network.
