Tennessee left tackle Lance Heard was named SEC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week following the Vols’ 56-34 win over Kentucky, the conference announced Monday.
Heard helped anchor a dominant offensive line that gashed the Wildcats for 504 total yards, including 396 passing yards from quarterback Joey Aguilar.
The Vols’ offensive line kept the pocket clean, surrendering only one sack while consistently opening lanes.
According to PFF, Heard garnered a 65.8 grade, the second-highest among Tennessee lineman, trailing only true freshman David Sanders.
Heard shares the honor with Ole Miss offensive lineman Diego Pounds, who also turned in a standout performance after beating Oklahoma in Norman.
The honor adds to what’s quickly becoming a breakout campaign for the former LSU transfer.
The Vols take on Oklahoma in a night game at Neyland Stadium with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
