A Tennessee linebacker commit is keeping things interesting on the recruiting trail.

Three-star linebacker Braylon Outlaw was back in Atlanta this past weekend for Georgia Tech’s 41-16 win over Syracuse, his second visit to The Flats this fall, having also attended the Yellow Jackets’ victory over Temple in September.

Following the visit, the Pike Road, Alabama native spoke with Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and made it clear that Georgia Tech is right there in his recruitment.

“Coach Key is a great coach,” Outlaw said. “I enjoyed being able to talk with him and hear about how he runs the program and what he sees in me.”

“As of right now, they are neck and neck with Tennessee.”

Outlaw, ranked No. 696 nationally, has been committed to the Vols since November of 2024, but his comments suggest the undefeated Yellow Jackets are gaining ground.

He’s expected back in Knoxville this weekend as Tennessee hosts Oklahoma for a night game, a visit that could help the Vols solidify their hold on the talented linebacker.

With both programs pushing hard, Outlaw’s recruitment may go all the way to Signing Day.
