KNOXVILLE – After visiting Tennessee early last week, Air Force transfer second baseman Wyatt Hanoian committed to the Vols on Tuesday afternoon. The Mountain West Freshman of the Year becomes the top offseason addition thus far as Josh Elander and the staff continue reshaping the 2027 roster.

Hanoian was outstanding during his lone season in Colorado Springs. A 2026 Perfect Game Freshman All American, he hit .357 with a .498 OBP while appearing in 53 games for the Falcons. He posted a 1.071 OPS, launched 6 home runs and drove in 49 runs on 66 hits across 185 at-bats, while striking out just 21 times.

Listed at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, Hanoian becomes the third player to commit to Tennessee through the transfer portal this offseason. He joins Mercer two-way player Braydon Kersey and Northwestern State left-hander Brody Trosclair as the Vols continue adding elite talent to next season’s roster.
