The Volunteers offensive line absolutely mauled the Gators on Saturday and the SEC took notice.

The league announced Monday that redshirt freshman Jesse Perry is its Offensive Lineman of the Week following Tennessee’s 31-11 win over Florida in Gainesville.

Perry graded out as the Vols’ top lineman with a 68.2 rating from PFF.

After opening the season at right tackle, Perry has slid inside to right guard and helped solidify a ground attack that churned out 248 rushing yards Saturday night.

The Vols averaged 4.9 yards per rush and scored three touchdowns on the ground, consistently finding daylight behind Perry’s blocks.

Perry’s recognition marks the first time this season a Tennessee player has earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors.
