Vol Hoops Will Get Elite 8 Rematch Vs. Houston In November

Players Era released the schedule today for the 2025 Players Era Men’s Championship college basketball tournament.

Tennessee is slated to play in the regular season tournament in November along with 17 other top schools — including Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan, Oregon, St. Johns, and Syracuse, among others.

Today Rick Barnes and the Vols found out their first two opponents — Rutgers and Houston.

UT will play in the opening game of the tourney on Nov. 24 against the Scarlet Knights at 1 p.m. ET then will face the Cougars the next day at 6 p.m. ET.

Tennessee will have a third game, as well, with the results of the first two games determining when and against whom that game will be.

The event will be held in Las Vegas from November 24-27.
