After missing out on four-star Bo Ogden to fake UT earlier this afternoon, the Vols didn’t wait long to secure their first commitment of the 2026 cycle.

Ralph Scott, the No. 35 overall prospect in the 2026 class, announced his commitment to Tennessee on Tuesday afternoon, per Rivals’ Joe Tipton.

The four-star, 6-foot-8 forward chose the Volunteers over several elite programs including Purdue, Houston, and Texas A&M, giving Rick Barnes and staff a major win to open the 2026 recruiting class.

Scott, originally from Bermuda, now plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where he’s developed into one of the most versatile forwards in the ‘26 cycle.

His Sept. 12–14 official visit for Tennessee’s matchup with Georgia cemented his choice of the Volunteers.

“I am looking for a developmental school that will not only allow my game to develop, but will push me to be as good as I can be,” Scott told On3’s Jaime Shaw. “I’ll look at the academics; they have to have my major, and I want to major in engineering.”

With Scott now in the fold, he stands as Tennessee’s lone 2026 commit and the Vols hope his presence can help lure priority four-star target Latrell Allmond out of Richmond, Virginia.
