MINNEAPOLIS – After visiting the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, former Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings has agreed to a one-year, $13 million contract as he prepares to become a new weapon for quarterback Kyler Murray, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Jennings spent the first five seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, helping lead the organization to reach the Super Bowl in 2023 and appeared in 75 games during his time in the Bay Area. He totaled 210 receptions for 2,581 yards and 22 touchdowns and last season, he finished with 55 catches for 643 yards and 9 touchdowns across 15 games.
Before his NFL rise, Jennings starred at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro as a four-star quarterback in the class of 2015 before transitioning to wide receiver at Tennessee. He became one of the most beloved playmakers of the Butch Jones era, especially for his hail mary game-winning catch against Georgia at Sanford Stadium.
Now approaching 29-years-old, Jennings joins a Minnesota wide receiver that is deep with talent, including Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
