KNOXVILLE – Tennessee baseball returns home tonight for its penultimate midweek matchup as the Vols host Presbyterian at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tennessee enters the game at 31-17 overall and 11-13 in SEC play after dropping 2 of 3 on the road at Kentucky over the weekend.

To put it bluntly, the Vols were completely outmatched in the first two games of the series, losing by a combined score of 21-4. Saturday’s 12-2 run rule in 8 innings saw left-hander Evan Blanco allow 6 earned runs across 5 innings while the Tennessee offense managed only 4 hits against Kentucky starter Jaxon Jelkin, who threw a complete-game with 11 strikeouts.

Tennessee avoided the sweep on Sunday with a 10 to 9 win in a back and forth finale. Sophomore first-baseman Levi Clark delivered his best performance as a Vols thus far, going 3/3 with 2 home runs and driving in 5 runs to help the Vols salvage the weekend.

First pitch tonight is set for 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network Plus as Tennessee looks to reset before No. 4 Texas arrives in Knoxville this weekend.
