Tennessee Freshman OF Nate Eisfelder Enters Transfer Portal

KNOXVILLE – Freshman outfielder Nate Eisfelder is leaving the program and entering the transfer portal after one season in Knoxville, per Mike Wilson of VolQuest.

Eisfelder, a former standout at IMG Academy, appeared in 18 games with 4 starts during his lone season on Rocky Top. He hit .192 with a .364 OBP while driving in 9 runs and hitting 2 home runs across 26 at-bats. A native of Johnson City, Eisfelder was ranked the No. 3 overall player and No. 1 outfielder in Tennessee in the 2025 cycle by Perfect Game.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds, Eisfelder becomes the 14th Volunteer to enter the transfer portal, joining infielders Ethan Moore, Ariel Antigua, Finley Bates, and Manny Marin; outfielders Jay Abernathy and Hutson Chance; utility players Chris Newstrom and Hunter High; pitchers Brayden Krenzel, Ari Bethea, and Taylor Tracey; first baseman/left-hander Evan Hankins; and catcher/outfielder Cash Williams.
