Now that the SEC is planning to move to a nine-game schedule, that means every team’s conference slate will be imbalanced year-to-year.
Eight is an even number. Four home games, four away. Nine is an odd number. Five home, four away. Or four home, five away.
Math. Nice.
The good news for Tennessee next season is that the Vols will draw five home games, per Ryan Schumpert of Rocky Top Insider.
Tennessee has five SEC home games in 2026 and 2028 with five road games in 2027 and 2029.
The SEC will release every team’s conference opponents for the next four years during a reveal show tomorrow evening.
As Schumpert pointed out, the schedule could be a major advantage for UT if the Vanderbilt game remains in Nashville in even years.
Five games in Neyland Stadium and one in Neyland West.
Earlier today we found out that Tennessee’s three permanent opponents will be Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky.
