If you are one of those people who love college football and feared its imminent death because of the NIL era then perhaps you can breathe a sigh of relief.

President Donald Trump is here to save the day.

The president is planning to create a commission on college sports to address issues ailing the industry, Yahoo Sports reports.

Yahoo’s Ross Dellenger calls this a “landmark moment” in college football history.

“Details of the commission are for now being kept private, but the group is expected to feature college sports stakeholders, prominent businesspeople with deep connections to college football and, perhaps, even a former coach and administrator,” the report states.

The commission will also reportedly “deeply examine” the frequency of player movement in the transfer portal along with the unregulated booster compensation paid to athletes.

Very interesting.

Recently, Trump met with Nick Saban to discuss issues plaguing college football.

Saban is “expected to be integral to the commission’s work.”

Will he finally be named Czar?
