COLUMBIA – No. 8 Tennessee softball enters the final weekend of the regular season with momentum as the Lady Vols travel to Columbia to face Missouri for a three-game series. Tennessee sits at 40-8 overall and 14-7 in SEC play after taking two straight from No. 3 Alabama last weekend in Knoxville.

The Lady Vols are looking to lock up a top 8 national seed in the NCAA Tournament and strengthened their case behind a dominant relief outing from Karlyn Pickens, who struck out 11 in Monday’s rubber match over the Tide, backing sophomore Erin Nuwer in the circle for the 4-1 win.

Missouri enters the weekend 27-26 and 8-13 in the SEC as the Tigers close out the regular season at home, needing a series win to potentially stay eligible for the SEC Tournament next week.

Game 1 of the series begins tonight at Mizzou Softball Field with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network Plus.
