Former Tennessee sophomore guard Bishop Boswell is transferring to Maryland, giving the Terrapins a much‑needed backcourt addition after a difficult first season under head coach Buzz Williams.

Boswell, a Charlotte native, helped Tennessee reach its third straight Elite Eight appearance in 2026, averaging 6.2 points and 4.4 rebounds this past season. Listed at 6‑foot‑4 and 204 pounds, he shot 42.7 percent from the field while adding 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 26.4 minutes per game.

He now joins a Maryland team coming off a 12‑21 campaign that included a 4‑16 record in Big Ten play as Buzz Williams looks to overhaul the roster going into year two.
