Manny Marin Expected to Enter Transfer Portal After Two Seasons at Tennessee

KNOXVILLE – Tennessee’s starting shortstop in 2026 is expected to depart, as sophomore Manny Marin is set to enter the transfer portal after two seasons on Rocky Top, per Mike Wilson of VolQuest.
A draft‑eligible sophomore, Marin appeared in 55 of Tennessee’s 60 games this season, hitting .289 with a .338 on‑base percentage while driving in 43 runs and hitting 9 home runs across 197 at‑bats. Those numbers improved from his freshman year, when he hit .283 with 3 home runs and 23 RBI in 53 games during the 2025 season.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 184 pounds, Marin becomes the 13th Volunteer to enter the transfer portal, joining infielders Ethan Moore, Ariel Antigua, and Finley Bates; outfielders Jay Abernathy and Hutson Chance; utility players Chris Newstrom and Hunter High; pitchers Brayden Krenzel, Ari Bethea, and Taylor Tracey; first baseman/left‑hander Evan Hankins; and catcher/outfielder Cash Williams.
