Man Who Signed Zero Offensive Linemen In Class Of 2012 Running For Senate

Former Vol Football head coach, which I say loosely considering this guy probably would have failed with the ‘85 Bears, Derek Dooley, is getting into politics.

Dooley is launching a bid for the Senate in Georgia, per a release.

He will have a chance to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff.

"The foundation of football is the American Spirit. You work hard, you play by the rules, you keep fighting when adversity hits -- you have a fair shot at achieving your dreams," Dooley’s campaign said in the release. "As a coach, I wanted that for all my players. As your next U.S. Senator, I want that for all Georgians -- and all Americans."

Dooley is the son of legendary Georgia coach Vince Dooley — which you already knew of course because nepotism is the only reason that jackass ever got the UT job — who formerly endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2016.

Dooley still has to face off against other Republicans in the primary before he can unseat Ossoff.

Hopefully at least one of those gentlemen will ask him why he didn’t sign a single offensive lineman in the class of 2012.

And what was up with that Sal Sunseri hire?

Was that really the best we could do?

And how did we let Kentucky beat us with a wide receiver at quarterback?
