Former Lady Vol freshmen twin guards Mia and Mya Pauldo are heading back home, announcing their transfer to Rutgers after one season in Knoxville. The Paterson, New Jersey natives return to the Northeast after arriving at Tennessee as highly rated high school prospects.
Mia Pauldo, a former five‑star recruit and the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, emerged as one of Tennessee’s most promising young players in her debut season. She became the third‑leading scorer on Kim Caldwell’s squad, averaging 10.4 points and 2.5 assists per game while showcasing elite-level scoring. Her breakout moment came in a 90‑80 road win at Mississippi State, where she poured in a career‑high 26 points on 8‑of‑12 shooting and added two steals.
Her twin sister, Mya, saw more limited action but provided backcourt depth throughout the season, averaging 1.8 points per game in her freshman campaign.
The Pauldo twins now head to the Big 10 where the duo will look for more opportunities of playing with a closer proximity to home.
