KNOXVILLE – After falling to Ole Miss in their SEC Tournament opener last week in Lexington, Tennessee did enough to stay on the Top 8 national seed line as the Lady Vols earned the No. 7 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament Sunday night. Tennessee will host NCAA Regionals at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium for the 23rd time in program history and the 22nd consecutive season.

The Lady Vols will welcome Virginia, Indiana, and Horizon League Tournament champion Northern Kentucky to Knoxville this weekend. Games begin Friday evening and run through Sunday as Tennessee looks to advance to Super Regionals for the fourth straight year.

Head coach Karen Weekly is set for her 25th NCAA Tournament appearance. This will be her 23rd Regional trip with Tennessee after previously leading Chattanooga to two NCAA Tournament berths before arriving in Knoxville.

Tennessee opens the Knoxville Regional at 5:30 p.m. ET on Friday on SEC Network. Virginia and Indiana will follow at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The winner of the Knoxville Regional will advance to face the winner of the Athens Regional, which features No. 10 national seed Georgia along with Clemson, College of Charleston, and UNC Greensboro.
