Karlyn Pickens has earned SEC Pitcher of the Year honors for the second year in a row.

The Tennessee junior was also named to the All-SEC First Team on Friday along with teammate Taylor Pannell.

With the latest award for Pickens, she becomes just the seventh pitcher in league history win the award multiple times, per a UT release.

Tennessee’s Monica Abbott is the only player ever to win the award three times (2004, 2005, 2007).

Pickens finished the regular season with a 0.96 ERA, 18 complete games, and 221 strikeouts. Opponents were only able to hit .164 against her.

She also threw literally the fastest pitch ever.

The No. 5 Lady Vols were knocked out in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament with a 6-1 loss to No. 7 Arkansas yesterday.

Now they wait to find out their postseason fate on Sunday when the NCAA Tournament field is announced.

The tournament selection show is at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
