KNOXVILLE – After taking a Wednesday official visit to Rocky Top, Kennesaw State transfer forward Braedan Lue has committed to Tennessee, announcing on social media.

Lue entered the portal on March 30 following a breakout sophomore season in which he earned Conference USA All-Defensive Team honors. The Douglasville (GA) native appeared in 35 games for the Owls, starting 34, and averaged 10.9 points on 45.2% shooting along with 5.3 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game. Listed at 6-foot-9, 235 pounds, he also added 1.4 blocks and 1.2 assists per contest.

His commitment gives Rick Barnes and Co. exactly the type of piece they want to add to this roster. Lue’s ability to guard multiple positions, finish around the rim, and impact the game defensively fits the mold of what Tennessee has leaned on in the past few years.

Lue becomes the sixth transfer addition for the Vols this offseason, joining Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade, Cal guard Dai Dai Ames, Loyola Chicago center Miles Rubin, Notre Dame forward Jalen Haralson, and VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr.
