Joshua Josephs Selected No. 147 by Washington Commanders in 2026 NFL Draft

PITTSBURGH – Tennessee edge rusher Joshua Josephs was selected with the No. 147 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders on Saturday in Pittsburgh, becoming the fourth Vol to come off the board in this year’s draft.
Josephs spent all four seasons of his college career on Rocky Top, developing into a very productive defender in Josh Heupel’s defense. Across 38 career games, the Kennesaw (GA) native totaled 104 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 8 passes deflected, and 6 forced fumbles in those four seasons.His senior season in 2025 marked his best yet. Josephs posted a career high 4 sacks, including one in each of Tennessee’s first three games to open the year, including a strip-sack fumble and recovery against Georgia on Sept. 13.
Josephs becomes the fourth Tennessee player selected in this year’s draft, joining cornerbacks Jermod McCoy and Colton Hood along with wide receiver Chris Brazzell II.
