Could Tony Vitello be picking up another elite player in the portal?

Possibly.

Yesterday ETSU pitcher Brady Frederick entered the transfer portal with a “do not contact” tag.

That essentially means he can only talk to schools he initiates contact with.

This season Frederick was named the SoCon pitcher of the year with a 2.67 ERA and 77.2 IP in addition to 76 strikeouts.

He has strong ties to this area as a Knoxville native and also attended Bearden High School.

Frederick will be an upcoming Junior this next season and not draft eligible until 2026.

Vitello recently emphasized that his staff needed to go out and get transfers, which makes this portal addition a real possibility.

Frederick is visiting Tennessee this week.
