I Am Stunned By How Much Cooler The New Smokey Greys Look In This Video

By Cody McClure

A couple days ago there was a leak online of Tennessee’s newest version of the Smokey Grey football jerseys.

Here at the office several of the guys were making fun of them.

That was — of course — before we knew that they were going to be a tribute to the service and sacrifice within the U.S. armed forces.

We support the troops.

But when I first saw the jerseys hanging lifelessly on an inventory rack in some store, I have to admit… I didn’t think they looked very cool.

I made a TikTok, because that’s what I do more and more of here now since none of you read anything online anymore.

I cracked a couple of dumb jokes that weren’t really even funny.

“What’s that on the sleeves? Piano keys? Is it some kind of tribute to Ray Charles? Thank God he won’t have to see them!”

“Did we dip each sleeve into an Orange Julius?”

“These are the type of jerseys you airdrop to the youth football leagues of Rwanda after your team’s spring game comes to an end.”

We ended up deleting my TikTok because of a request from some very important people, but that’s another story.

BUT NOW Tennessee Football has put out a hype video with the uniforms actually being worn by real football players and I must say, being the well-documented hypocrite that I am, I think I love them!

It’s amazing what a well-produced video can do for some football uniforms.

They look unbelievably, startlingly, astonishingly better than they did hanging on a clothes rack.
