Halls Four-Star Safety Jarrell Chandler Commits to Clemson Over Tennessee

KNOXVILLE – The top-ranked player in the Knoxville area is heading out-of-state as four-star Halls safety Jarrell Chandler committed to Clemson over Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Miami on Monday morning.

Chandler, at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, is ranked the No. 256 overall prospect in the 2027 class and the No. 11 player in Tennessee according to the 247Sports Composite. The Knoxville native put together a dominant junior season while leading Halls to a Class 5A semifinal appearance, finishing with 94 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery. He also contributed heavily on offense, catching 42 passes for 691 yards at 16.5 yards per catch and scoring 7 touchdowns.

Chandler had been scheduled to take an official visit to Tennessee the weekend of June 12, but that trip is now expected to be canceled following his commitment to the Tigers.
