Take a bow, Vol Nation.

Tennessee football fans weren’t just packing Neyland Stadium, they led the SEC in alcohol revenue while doing it.

According to data compiled by Matt Brown, the Volunteers generated over $1.6 million in alcohol sales across August and September, including over 100,000 units sold.

The total ranks third nationally, trailing only Wisconsin with an absurd $3 million and Nebraska with $2 million. Within the SEC, Tennessee edged out LSU, which posted $1.4 million in alcohol revenue over the same stretch.

With home games still ahead against New Mexico State and Vandy, I’ll be interested to see what the final numbers look like.

Tennessee might climb even higher, unless Danny White decides it’s time to raise beer prices again.
