KNOXVILLE – Tennessee’s top offensive target in the 2027 class is officially coming off the board in the near future. Five-star running back David Gabriel Georges has set his commitment date for July 22, as first reported by 247Sports’ Tom Loy.

“The big-time back is set to commit on July 22,” wrote 247Sports’ Tom Loy. “The finalists are Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss.”

The Quebec, Canada native, who stars at Baylor School in Chattanooga, will take official visits to all four programs before announcing his decision. His schedule begins with Ohio State the weekend of May 29, followed by Tennessee on June 5, Ole Miss on June 12, and Georgia on June 19 to close out the month.

Loy reiterated that Tennessee and Ohio State are viewed as the front runners in Georges’ recruitment. The 6-foot, 220 pound back is rated a five-star and the No. 10 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is also ranked the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee, ahead of Volunteer wide receiver commit Kesean Bowman.

Georges rushed for 1,605 yards and 25 touchdowns last season as a junior at Baylor and recently drew national attention after clocking a 4.38 in the 40-yard-dash two weeks ago.
