Five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman released his top five schools Monday afternoon, naming Tennessee as one of the schools still in the hunt.
The Brentwood (TN) native also included Vanderbilt, Miami, Alabama, and Ohio State in his top group, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Bowman, rated a five-star and the No. 31 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, is also ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee, trailing only Baylor School running back David Gabriel Georges. Bowman’s recruitment has been one of the most closely watched in the state, especially after he initially committed to Oregon in July of 2025 before decommitting and reopening his recruitment last September.
Tennessee has positioned itself nicely. Bowman currently has one official visit locked in, and it’s to Knoxville the weekend of June 5-7, giving the Vols likely the first major swing at the in-state star.
Before summer officials begin, Bowman has a full slate of spring unofficial visits scheduled. He’ll see Vanderbilt on March 21, Tennessee on March 28, Alabama on March 30, Miami on April 4, and Ohio State on April 13 as he continues to map out his official visit schedule.
With two in‑state programs in his top group and both pushing hard, Bowman’s recruitment is shaping up to be a Tennessee-Vandy battle as the five‑star pass catcher moves deeper into the recruiting process.
