One of Tennessee’s most iconic players is returning.
This time behind the mic.
The SEC’s all-time leader in three-point makes, Chris Lofton, will be joining the Vol Network’s basketball broadcast team this season alongside the voice of Tennessee football, Mike Keith.
Lofton played at Tennessee from 2004-2008, finishing his career with 431 made threes, still the most in SEC history.
He was named SEC Player of the Year in 2007 after averaging 20.8 points per game and became the fifth Vol to have his jersey retired on Jan. 14, 2023.
“We’re excited to bring together an incredible team for Tennessee basketball this season,” said Brandon Parks, Vice President and General Manager of the Vol Network. “Mike Keith, John Wilkerson, Chris Lofton, and Steve Hamer each bring unique perspective, energy, and passion for the game. Together, they’ll deliver an insightful and energetic broadcast experience for Vol fans everywhere.”
Keith will handle play-by-play duties, with John Wilkerson, the voice of Tennessee baseball, stepping in when football and basketball schedules overlap.
Tennessee opens its season Sunday at 7 p.m. ET with a sold-out scrimmage against Duke in Knoxville. The Vols officially tip off the regular season on Nov. 3 when they host Mercer.
