Cade Phillips Staying in SEC, Commits to Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION – After officially entering the transfer portal April 6, former Tennessee forward Cade Phillipsis staying in the SEC, committing to Texas A&M on Thursday afternoon, Joe Tipton of On3 reported.
Phillips appeared in 61 career games for the Volunteers, averaging 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds during an injury riddled three year run in Knoxville. Listed at 6‑foot‑9 and 221 pounds, he also added 1.1 blocks and 0.4 assists per game in 16.9 minutes.
The Jacksonville (AL) native was limited to just 10 games during his junior season, starting 9 of them before a shoulder injury sidelined him for the remainder of the year.
Phillips now heads to College Station, where the incoming senior will look to get healthy and reset under second year Aggies head coach Bucky McMillan.
