Happy National Signing Day Eve, Vol fans!

Tennessee added a huge piece to its defensive line class Tuesday afternoon as three-star NicQuayvion Simmons announced his commitment to the Volunteers, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

The Carver High and Columbus, Georgia native chose Tennessee over Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Colorado.

At 6-foot-3, 305-pounds, Simmons is ranked as the No. 1,479 overall prospect nationally.

Though his ranking may not jump off the page, Simmons’ film tells a different story.

The late-season senior evaluation by defensive line coach Rodney Garner showed a prospect with size, strength, and upside that far exceeds his national rating.

Simmons took an official visit to Rocky Top this past weekend for the Vandy game and sealed his commitment just before signing day.

Simmons becomes an important addition to Tennessee’s 2026 defensive line class, giving the Vols a reliable floor in the trenches and another body to develop under Garner.

With Simmons now on board, the Vols continue to build momentum heading into National Signing Day.
