News broke late yesterday afternoon that Tennessee Basketball is losing coach Rod Clark to Indiana.

The 32-year-old assistant under Rick Barnes will be joining the staff of new Hoosiers coach Darian DeVries.

Clark had been instrumental in Tennessee’s recruiting over the past few seasons, helping land guys such as Dalton Knecht, Chaz Lanier, and Zakai Zeigler.

But Barnes doesn’t seem to be too worried about the departure.

“Rod was great … But you know what, we feel like we’ve got that position covered,” Barnes said at the Big Orange Carvan. “I’m sure he’ll do a good job at Indiana, but we’ve got it covered. There’s a lot of people that obviously would love to be at the University of Tennessee.

“We’re excited about the direction that we’re going, and we’ve got it pretty much filled.”

We’ll continue to trust in Rick.
