Vols Reportedly Still Evaluating Transfer QB Options
By Cody McClure
Tennessee is still evaluating its options as the quarterback market tightens, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
This afternoon Nakos reported that quarterbacks in the ACC and Big 12 received pay raises this week to keep them at their respective schools.
Additionally, Nakos says, a Big Ten school is working through the details of a new contract with its starting QB.
Tennessee has been rumored or reported to be interested in several quarterbacks from the Big 12.
Josh Hoover from TCU was the latest to turn down the Vols as of Friday morning.
As some high-profile names in the Big 12 and ACC begin to be locked down, it will be interesting to see where the Vols go next.
Will a Notre Dame transfer end up in orange and white?
Or will the Vols ultimately roll with Jake Merklinger and hope for the best?
Hopefully more details come to light next week.
