One of the nation’s most premier JUCO prospects will be on Rocky Top for the Vandy game.

6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman Jaylen Thomas from Northwest Mississippi Community College will be taking an official visit to Tennessee this weekend, per Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong.

A Memphis native, Thomas has quickly risen into the top tier of junior college recruits after earning MACCC Defensive Player of the Year honors this fall.

Thomas has made stops to Kansas, where he was on campus in Lawrence for the Jayhawks’ win over Oklahoma State earlier this month.

Thomas also officially visited West Virginia last weekend during their bye week.

Now, Tennessee gets a shot to impress as Josh Heupel and Co. look to add size to the defensive front.

The Vols and Commodores square off at 3:30 p.m. ET at Neyland Stadium, airing on ESPN.
