Recruiting momentum is building in Knoxville, with Rick Barnes and the Vols trending for a coveted four‑star prospect.

6-foot-6, 205-pound forward Manny Green, out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia, is set to announce his commitment on Friday Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. ET.

The unveiling will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports College Basketball Youtube channel, as first reported by 247Sports’ Dushawn London.

Green has trimmed down his choices to Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Cal, and South Florida.

He has already taken official visits to Georgia Tech, Cal, and South Florida, and will be in Knoxville this weekend for an official visit for Tennessee’s matchup with Arkansas Saturday afternoon.

Ranked No. 91 nationally in the 2026 cycle, Green sits among the top five prospects in Georgia, his size, versatility, and production have made him a priority target for Barnes and his staff.

On3’s Jaime Shaw placed a 60% prediction in Tennessee’s favor, a sign that confidence is growing around the Vols’ chances as Green’s decision draws closer.

With Green’s decision looming, UT is in prime position to add its second commitment in the 2026 cycle– joining four-star Ralph Scott out of IMG Academy.
