Tennessee’s roster sees its first portal addition outside of Boo Carter.

Redshirt junior Jamal Wallace is expected to enter the transfer portal after two seasons in Knoxville, per his agency A&P Sports.

Wallace recorded four tackles this year, tallying two in the season opener against Syracuse and adding two more in the Vols’ 56–24 win over UAB.

The Kansas City native transferred to Tennessee from Sierra Junior College in California and saw limited action on the field this season in just five games played.

With one year of eligibility remaining, Wallace will look for a new opportunity when the portal officially opens on Jan. 2.

His departure marks the first defensive line movement for the Vols this offseason, as Josh Heupel’s staff begins to navigate roster changes and depth adjustments heading into 2026.
