Could the 2025 football season be the big-time breakout for Vols defensive lineman Bryson Eason?
Eason, who is entering his sixth season with Tennessee, had 24 tackles a year ago — 16 of which were solo to go along with 1.5 sacks.
Austin Price of VolQuest recently had some high praise for the d-lineman stating that this year he could be “special.”
"I mean, he's an older player, and he's got to be one of the bell cows on the defensive line for Tennessee. He had a really nice year last year. He is a kid that has continually got better and better and better under [Vols defensive line coach] Rodney Garner,” Price said on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville.
“I think when Rodney first got here, [Eason] did not know how to embrace the way Rodney coaches. And then once he embraced it, I believe that he's really been the one that's flourished as much as anybody.”
Garner, UT’s defensive line coach, seems to be high on Eason this season also believing that he could be a special talent. He described Eason as “gifted.”
With an extremely good secondary and exciting linebacker room, an improved DL could be the secret sauce for the Vols’ success this fall.
We know the Tennessee defense is going to be good and with the Tim Banks development Eason likely won’t be the only improved defensive player.
