Volunteers defensive lineman Jaxson Moi has been selected to the 2025 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award watch list, which honors the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry.

Moi, a Stanford transfer from Oceanside, California, is set to begin his second season with Tennessee after playing in all thirteen games in 2024. The upcoming senior finished with 16 total tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and two sacks, including his first-career forced fumble last November against Georgia.

This notes Moi’s second straight appearance on the highly respected watch list, which features 81 players from 40 different Division I programs. The award has been presented annually since 2014 by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame to a player who exemplifies exceptional ability and integrity both on and off the field.

Over 37 career games at Stanford and Tennessee, Moi amassed 53 tackles, ten TFLs, and three sacks, and made eight starts along the way.

Finalists for the award will be released on Dec. 9 with the winner being announced on Dec. 16.

The presentation for the award will be held during the Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner on Jan. 17.
