Tony Vitello’s Secret To Beautiful Hair Is Simply Horse Shampoo

By Cody McClure

Vol Baseball’s head coach Tony Vitello joined Fanrun Radio this afternoon on “The Drive.”

Nestled in between a lot of good baseball talk, Vitello let his secret for great hair slip.

When asked what the best radio-friendly chirp he’s received from opposing fans was this season, Vitello spilled the beans.

“My favorite was at Arkansas in the outfield,” Vitello said. “I was asked what kind of product I used in my hair and a guy threw out Mane ‘n Tail which I don’t know if you know, … that’s horse shampoo.

“And in college and in high school, I would use Mane ‘n Tail — as would my teammates. It was supposed to make your hair grow because it was for horses, you know, which was probably fake. But it was also cheap.”

Host Russell Smith told Vitello it looked like it has worked well for him, as he has beautiful hair.

“I guess. It’s probably time to visit the barber here soon.”

Tennessee takes on Vanderbilt in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament tomorrow afternoon at 1 ET on the SEC Network.
